Marko Tkalčič is an engineer and author/co-author of several scientific research mostly interested in emotions as a mean to improve our recommender systems. He talks more about the Sparx project, in which he is developing of recommender systems that simulate the human brain. So the main idea is the clone, copy of the human brain which makes decisions.

Working with someone who is more from artistic area should broaden my views and contribute to that am i doing in engineering area.

Mannes Poel, a senior researcher at the Human Media Interaction group of the department of Computer Science of the University of Twente, with focus on machine learning, talks about the fascination for phenomena of experience. As he said, he is not particularly interested in interpreting the brain signals from medical point of view, but he tries to found out how can we enhance experience in interacting with certain artworks.

Now we have focus on how can we measure what humans are experiencing. We don't only use it for art, but you can use it for games etc- what kind of games would people like to play and why do they want to play this game and how can we enhance the experience and how do we measure this phenomena of experience.

Later on, he mentions his collaboration with Aleksander Viljamae within the SparX project.

Mauri Kaipainen (FI)

Mauri Kaipainen, a professor of media technology at Södertörn University in Sweden presents his current research area of explorable multi-perspective media. As he says, with multi-perspective media you get the space and you can take a look from different angles instead of getting some particular presentation of issue. Then he explains the concept of ontospaces and ontospace conceptualization, which has a range of applications in media art, community and collaborative media applications, generative narrative systems and learning environments with collaborative knowledge building and so on.

What I call ontospaces is behind the media. It means that instead of tags, there are coordinates, there is a space defined by meta data dimensions and each content element is tagged by the coordinates.

At the conclusion, he mentions SparX project, which is closely related to this research.
