This award winning work in form of a movable grid draws information about the intensity and movements of the ocean in a remote location and re-creates them in real time in a gallery space. Wave height and frequency data from National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration Buoy Station on the Pacific Ocean are transformed into movements of the kinetic grid.

And when you get out of the boat, you still feel like you're moving. So I wanted to recreate that physical effect. (...) I did this to create a sort of formal contrast between the natural movement and the construction of the mechanism.
